The Corbridge Farmhouse is a small family business run by myself, Duncan Brown producing bespoke, hand made chopping boards and beautiful homeware in the heart of the stunning Tyne Valley.
Who are we?
We’re still very much a small, hands on operation so my wife Peta and our young daughter, Matilda, will often be found helping out.
We’re proud to be based in the Tyne Valley, Northumberland in the little village of Corbridge – well worth a visit or a mini break!
We source the vast majority of our timber from our local specialists in Hexhamshire.
We may no longer be a working farm but we’re definitely a working farmhouse!
Following a long career in food manufacturing, and coming from a long line of woodworkers, I began making small, rustic chopping boards in my workshop as a bit of a weekend hobby.
Aesthetics and quality are a key driver for me so I was keen to make beautiful products that went beyond everyday chopping boards.
I made boards for family and friends and then for friends and family of friends and family!
Now we supply home cooks, chefs, celebrities, influencers and food stylists alike, still keeping aesthetics and quality as key.
